In Tiruppur it was in association with Aravind Eye Hospital and In Tirunelveli it was in association with Dr.Agarwal Eye Hospital. The event was organized at Eswarachettipalayam & Manur on 3rd & 4th March respectively. CRM approached Suzlon Foundation to organise these camps in the respective locations for their customer Simran Wind Project Pvt. Ltd.This was organized for CDM purpose in both the locations.

To make the camp successful we formed Event Coordination Committee in both the locations. Project, Land, CRM, NGO representative & SF are part of this committee. Coordination committee meeting was held at Manur & Palladam on 24th & 25th February.

Eye Screening Camp in Collaboration with Aravind Eye Hospital on 3rd March at Community Hall, Eswarachettipalayam, Tiruppur

Three days before the event, handbills were distributed in 12 neighborhood villages. On the previous day, auto campaign was undertaken. A team of 13 members from Aravind Eye Hospital were present and organised the eye screening camp.SF partner ADISIL did the community mobilization, publicity and other arrangements for the camp. Land team did the hall arrangements and other logistics. Project team coordinated with Aravind Eye hospital team.

Screening was done from 10AM to 2 PM. 122 persons from the surrounding villages attended and benefited in the camp.Out of 122 - 5 persons were identified for cataract operation and SF will bear the cost of operation. Apart from this 18 persons got spectacles immediately free of cost.

Mr.Premkumar, AGM, Land, Mr.Balakrishnan, Site Incharge, Project were present during the camp and briefed to the participants why we are organizing this camp. Mr.Manivannan & Mr.Muthu from Project, Mr.Mohammed Rafiq & Mr.Baskar from Land, Mr.Anandhanarayanan from CRM volunteered for the camp and did registration, arrangements and other logistics. Mr.Radhakrishnan, ADISIL did the community mobilization and auto publicity and other preparatory work for the camp.

SF partner Salvation Army did the community mobilization, publicity and other arrangements for the camp. Land team did the local advertisement, and other logistics.

Eye screening camp started with Inauguration function.

S.Murugan from Suzlon Foundation welcomed the guests, community members and hospital team and briefed about SF activities. Manur Panchayat Leader presided over the inaugural function. Mr.J.Mitrasekaran, GM, Suzlon, Mr.Thirumenikannan, Simran, Sub Inspector of Police felicitated the camp.

A small gift was provided to all the guests participated in the inaugural function. Mr.Ramprabu, Salvation Army delivered vote of thanks.

Mr.Lakshmanan, Mr.Madhavan, Mr.Benjamin, Mr.Kannan from Land, Mr.Chandrasekaran , Mr.Sivaraman from Project, Mr.Subramaniam from CRM were volunteered for the camp and did arrangements and other logistics. Mr.Ramprabu and team members, Salvation Army did the community mobilization and auto publicity and other preparatory work for the camp.
